I am a retired hospital pharmacist and an active photographer. That is why rxphotos/rxphotographer came about. I graduated from University of California, San Francisco with a doctor of Pharmacy degree. I have taken numerous photographic courses through the University of California extension. As you will see, I enjoy many different aspects of photography- landscapes, wildlife, racing, surfing, and air shows. Each subject has their own degrees of difficulty but I love the challenge. I hope you will enjoy these images because I really worked hard in getting these shots. I had to endure extreme heat(121 F), humidity, cold(-52 C), bugs, sandstorms, a charging elephant, aggressive sea lions, running grizzlies(right at our group), a really mean Peruvian customs agent, a broken foot , frostbites on my face and a severe shoulder injury in a slot canyon where I was actually rescued. I use Nikon equipment-D5, D4, D810, D3s, D3, D300, 3 xF5's, N90, Nikonos V, Coolpix S33 underwater camera, 15mm/3.5 rectilinear, 16mm/2.8 fisheye, 18-35mm(variable), 24-70mm/2.8, 70-200mm/2.8, 300mm/2.8, 200-400mm/4,and 600mm/4. If I make a mistake, please correct me. I am trying real hard to be accurate as possible in terms of identification of the animals and location of a certain area. As to the format, I grouped the photos to the trip(area). If you want to see frigatebirds, type in frigatebird(singular) in the search field. I have activated the search function so you can filter the images but I am still adding keywords so it is not fully functional. And, after doing my own testing, the search function does not work perfectly. If you type in Big Sur, you get nothing since the word Big is one of the banned words by Smugmug. so, type in sur, then you get Big Sur. Go figure. I think Dennis is retired but you can ask him; his website is still up.
